This is the first RBX album in probably a decade. Executive producers are Sccit and Siavash The Grouch. First let’s get this out of the way, the features. The features on this album are insane. You’re talking about Sccit but also you got Ras Kass, MC Eiht and Scitt on this very dope song and video called “Midnight Drive.” Then you got a very dope song with Krayzie Bone called “Night Stalker.” Crooked I is on a song called “The Shivers.” There’s another music video for the title track featuring Ras Kass, but also on here you got a dope song with Spice 1 called “Don’t Lie to Me.” Another dope song is “Picnic Caskets,” in stead of picnic baskets featuring Project Pat. Another one called “A Billi” instead of “A Milli” and that’s featuring Cold 187. You got the Dogg Pound on here, I mean it’s got 18 joints, it’s very dope and RBX’s flow is as original and dope as it ever was. Just as fresh as it was on The Chronic, his raps are on point and you got a lot of production on here. A lot of it is done by Scitt and Siavash the Grouch. You got other producers on here as well like Chris The Glove, also Jellyroll but not the country singer Jellyroll, I wouldn’t think. It’s just a real well put together project. I think the executive producers saw the talent in RBX and decided they should put this guy with some dope features and it’s been a long time so let’s put an album out. They did a hell of a job. Very similar to what Ryan Elder is doing with Spice 1 and the Platinum OG series. What’s happening is you;’re getting a lot of these guys who grew up on this music and they see that these artists still have the ability, still have the talent and they are wanting to put their money where their mouth is and put it behind these guys and get them back out there. So I’m very, very happy to see this. The song “Picnic Caskets,” I really love it. They sample the Candyman theme from the Candyman movie. Real dark, sinister stuff. But of course you got that G-Funk slap on here, party music, so it’s not all hardcore. RBX is 100% back and I love this album it’s currently my favorite album.
