Diamond Life Music Group/One World Magazine
by Scott Bejda
This is a very dope artist out of Sacramento. He is the son of on of Sacramento’s pioneers, Sicx. He’s been doing this about, I wanna say five or six years as far as releasing independent albums and EP’s. This is his sixth or seventh project but it’s probably much more than that. It was put out by Diamond Life Music Group and One World Magazine in collaboration together. It has a total of seven tracks and one flows right into the next. The stand out tracks on this project are “Sicc Flow,” “All In,” but my favorite on this project is a song featuring John Botti like Botti Bag, and it’s called “Refuse to Lose.” It is a remake of the classic Brotha Lynch Hung and Mr. Dubb track of the same name and boy did they nail it. I fuckin’ love this song. It’s constantly on repeat. The project was engineered and a lot of it was produced by E-Moe, he is a long time collaborator with Brotha Lynch Hung and he’s been in Sacc Town for decades putting out music. Another producer on here of course if C-Dubb, and they got another one on here called Bear on the Beat and a few other guys. But what makes this project really stand out is it caters not only to the Siccness but to people that like music with pain and real life. He’s talking about struggles and different things that he’s going through while also bringing that authentic Siccness flow. Anybody that’s a fan of Brotha Lynch Hung or that mob shit coming out of the Bay, they’re gonna love Lil Sicx. Another thing I really like about this young man is he interacts with his fans. He is constantly talking to his people on Instagram and Facebook so shout out to Lil Sicx for this dope project.
